Supervision
I offer supervision to therapists, trainee therapists, and those in related professions.
Supervision with me costs £60 for an hour, and £80 for one and a half hours.
I have a limited number of discounted supervision slots for students.
Unfortunately I do not offer reduced fees to qualified professionals.
I offer supervision online all week and in person on Thursdays in Edinburgh.

I am passionate about all aspects of therapy and I like to work creatively with supervisees. I use a tool box of ideas developed over many years, to help you be the best therapist you can be.

Working as a therapist can be extremely challenging both personally and professionally and good supervision is extremely important to prevent burn out.
I always start from a position of respect for your skills as a practitioner, and I see myself as being alongside you in your work. It is also important for me to be able to be open and honest with you about you and your work, to ensure the best possible service for your clients. Part of our work will be talking explicitly about our relationship and what we can learn about each other from this.

I have a lot of experience supervising psychotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers in the NHS mental health field. I currently mentor students on various psychotherapy programmes at Edinburgh University. I am passionate about psychotherapy education and the importance of high quality teaching and training.
I have a huge amount of experience to draw on and this is available to you as my supervisee.

I continue to work as a contracted lecturer at Greenwich University on their BA and MA Social Work programmes, so I stay up to date with research around mental health, counselling, education, and trauma.
I am prompt and thorough with providing reports and paperwork you may need if you are studying.

I continue to challenge myself by working in a supervision group with other supervisees, and I have individual supervision too, so I consider myself a learner as well a supervisor/teacher.
More importantly I am committed to a philosophy of being genuine, whole hearted, and reliable in our relationship. I aim for transparency.
I hold a number of qualifications in different areas of psychotherapy, which I draw on to support your work. I am qualified to Masters level in the person centred approach. I am also trained in EMDR, mentalisation based working, and mindfulness.
I love learning about therapy, so wherever you have other skills or interests I seek to nurture these and continue to keep the excitement about this fascinating work going.
